The setting is a 19th century-style otherworldly world. The kingdom of the phoenix, where the folklore of the immortal race and eerie urban legends remain.
The protagonist Wilhelm, who works as a knight of the Kingsguard, does not know what he wants to become.
One day, he is assigned to investigate a case involving a female alchemist, Topherf, and a fake duke's daughter.
The body of the duke's daughter, which appeared to be alive, hid a secret concerning immortality.
